In 2019 we introduced a program called i-Perform. This program will provide students in Years One – Year Three the opportunity to develop their skills and abilities in the Performing Arts domain. The i-Perform program has been developed by our music teacher to give the junior primary students the opportunity to extend their creativity and performance skills in the areas of drama and speech, improvisation, role-play, scripted performance, poetry and dance/movement – to name a few!

We see it as an opportunity for students to create, rehearse and actively perform and learn about the elements of drama, characterisation, improvisation and performance practices. This aims to develop confidence and speech skills and helps students to work effectively in a group environment. As these skills nurture the creative mind, it has a positive impact towards all learning areas.

School Instrumental Program

The Instrumental Music Program at Infant Jesus School is conducted by Keyed Up Music and provides the opportunity for students to learn instruments such as Woodwind, Brass, Drums, Guitar and Keyboard.  Lesson fees are paid directly to Keyed Up Music and are conducted during the day or after school.  There is also the opportunity for students to become a member of our School Band which performs at school assemblies, functions and the Catholic Schools’ Performing Arts Festival.   As a school, we are very proud of the calibre of our band with the quality of music they produce and in recent years the band has performed and excelled at the Festival.
